Height Finder App Reviews

Easy to use and informative during my travels.

No good! I downloaded "alt hq" "height finder" & "altitude" apps. Excluding the day this app and "altitude" were off by 950 they all varied in a range of 250 over a period of a month that I recorded their readings from my office.

Good program. Simple. Fast. Good coverage.

"Cute" but not informative, just give the data!

Limited functionality, and simply inaccurate. Stated elevation of over 125 feet... While I was standing at the sea shore. Hmmmmmmm

Certainly better than nothing. Hardly what a surveyor would need but handy for a hiker or tourist. I have used it on both coasts, in Europe and in Africa.

Inaccurate. Always different reading from same location...my house. Doesnt work at sea level either.

My lake is 560 so why does this app show 168 or 293 or 656 on different days?

Neat

Sitting perfectly still, the app gave measurements of +13ft to -137 ft above sea level. Amazingly, I was dry the entire time and so was my living room!

Just remember the caveat : plus or minus almost ten feet.

I can see the bay from standing out side and Im 45.6 above sea level? +/- 9.63? Good thing I didnt pay for this.

This app is a joke, dont waste your time.

Shows approx. 40 difference between iPhone and iPad at same location and varies by day.

This is a good basic altimeter. It gives a good overall reading

Very pleased with this app !! Perfect for me when checking elevation to put in water lines on remote ranches to insure down hill flow using gravity !! Very simple way to check each point of interest along a proposed waterline path !!! Thanks js

Use to work, now crashes every time.

V3.03 crashed and drained my iPhone 4 battery even with all apps turned off, notifications off, bluetooth off, etc. Apple genius bar diagnostics verified my battery was still good. Found system log files that Height Finder crashed. Deleted the app and reboot the phone. All back to normal now. Did not re-install Height Finder. Really strange as I had previous versions on the phone for over 10 months with no adverse effects.

I live in some mountains, finding information on the altitude or elevation is not always easy to find. This cool app got the numbers right for two locations I knew the altitude of. Way to go for accuracy. Todays cartoon featured " superman". What a great way to introduce children to the factoids of their surroundings. Thanks for making this app!
